This policy explains how Neon Portrait Studio uses cookies in compliance with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site owners.
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| stripe_mid | Essential | Stripe fraud prevention — required for payment processing | 1 year |
| stripe_sid | Essential | Stripe session — required for secure checkout | Session |
| neon_session | Essential | Maintains your portrait configuration during checkout | Session |
| _ga | Analytics (opt-in) | Google Analytics — measures site traffic (only with consent) | 2 years |
| _gid | Analytics (opt-in) | Google Analytics — session tracking (only with consent) | 24 hours |
Essential cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function — specifically for payment processing via Stripe. These do not require your consent under PECR.
Analytics cookies are optional and only set if you give consent via our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time.
We use browser sessionStorage (not cookies) to temporarily hold your portrait configuration and photo data while you complete payment. This data is stored only in your browser memory and is automatically cleared when you close the tab. It is never sent to our servers separately from the payment flow.
You can control cookies through your browser settings:
Note: blocking essential Stripe cookies will prevent payment processing from working.
